1. Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics
Valuable information and support for parents of children with asthma and allergies.

2. California Asthma Partners (CAP)
A statewide partnership of coalitions and other organizations working to reduce the burden of asthma in California.

3. California Asthma Public Health Initiative
The mission of the California Asthma Public Health Initiative (CAPHI) is to improve the quality of life for all children and adults with asthma through implementation of effective programs and policies in asthma education, management, and prevention. CAPHI is based in the California Department of Public Health.

4. California Breathing
California Breathing is a program working to address asthma in California from a public health perspective.

5. Community Action to Fight Asthma
A statewide, community based organization and clearinghouse for California asthma information.

6. Environmental Protection Agency - Asthma
Information on how to manage asthma in indoor environments from the EPA.

7. First 5 California
First 5 California provides young children and their families with a comprehensive, integrated community system of early childhood development and health services. Funding for the Childhood Asthma Initiative and Better Asthma Care for California Kids is provided by First 5 .

8. NICHQ
The National Initiative for Children's Healthcare Quality is an education and research organization dedicated to improving the quality of health care provided to children. An excellent resource for learning more about quality improvement in pediatric healthcare.

9. Regional Asthma Management Program (RAMP)
Based in the Bay Area, but with great information and tools that are applicable to all.

10. Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation
By popular demand from the health care community, Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation re-launched its Quest for the Code game (formerly on CD-ROM) online. This easy-to-access asthma game will help children and teens find out about: * Early warning signs and symptoms * Identifying and avoiding asthma triggers * Myths about asthma * How asthma affects the lungs * Proper use of asthma medication devices * Long-term control medicine and quick-relief medicine * How to talk to peers about asthma and ask doctors the right questions

11. The American Lung Association
The American Lung Association is involved with fighting asthma on a national level and throughout California. Check this website for your local lung association.

12. The Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA)
The Southern California Chapter of AAFA

13. YES WE CAN
YES WE CAN is a project of Community Health Works and recently released "Managing Children's Asthma: A Community-Focused, Team Approach." The toolkit provides a step-by-step template for how to implement a team model of chronic care asthma management.
